With origins dating back to the 13th century in Italy, Amalfi paper reflects centuries of tradition and artisanal expertise. Handmade in the Amalfi region using water-powered mills and natural materials like cotton rags and animal-based glue, each sheet features distinctive deckled edges and watermarks. Revered for its unmatched quality, Amalfi paper remains a timeless symbol of heritage and craftsmanship, preserving techniques passed down through generations.
Paper and Craft
The Edge Series is made exclusively with Amalfi paper. It exemplifies artisanal craftsmanship, crafted from pure cotton rag to achieve a soft, refined texture that embodies timeless elegance. Each sheet is individually handmade, featuring authentic deckled edges on all sides, which enhance its dimensionality and character. Meeting the UNI 10332 standard for permanence and durability, this paper is ideal for album presentation and a true symbol of heritage and artistry.
Products
We offer three products in The Edge Series: Melody Album, Novel Album, and Poem Album. Each album is crafted using Amalfi Paper. From fabric to leather, a variety of cover materials and colors are available for customization. Binding methods are another highlight of this series. Depending on the size, thickness, and design, we use different binding techniques. All techniques are traditional, hand-crafted, and hold deep historical value. These binding methods add a unique touch with visible stitching along the edge, giving the album a whole new level of charm.
The Melody Album is available in two sizes: 8×12” Vertical and 10×13” Horizontal, each featuring a traditional binding method. The Saddle Stitch binding (8×12” Vertical) involves folding sheets of paper and stapling them along the spine, while the Side Stitch binding (10×13” Horizontal) uses stitches or staples along the side of the pages, typically through the entire thickness of the book. The album’s cover is crafted as a single piece that seamlessly wraps from the front cover to the spine and the back cover. Available cover options include Vegan Classic and Vegan Lux. The 8×12” Vertical album is available with 16 to 40 pages, in increments of 4. The 10×13” Horizontal album is available with 16 to 60 pages, in increments of 2.
The Novel Album is perfect for clients seeking an album with more pages and images. It ranges from 40 to 80 pages, in multiples of 4. Available in 8×12″ Vertical, it features the Coptic binding method—a traditional technique with visible stitching along the spine that allows the album to lay flat when opened. The front and back covers are crafted as separate pieces, reinforced with a solid insert to create a hard cover. Cover options include Fabric Linen, Fabric Cotton, Fabric Velvet, Fabric Crease, Vegan Classic, and Vegan Lux.
The Poem Album is the signature piece of The Edge Series. Our Full Grain leather cover is exclusive to this album. It requires a more intricate handcrafting process and features the Side Stitching technique, which uses stitches along the side of the pages, typically passing through the entire thickness of both the book and the cover. The album’s cover is crafted as a single piece, seamlessly wrapping from the front to the back. A matching leather strap wraps the album, serving as an integral part of the design. The Poem Album is available in 10×13” Horizontal, with 16 to 60 pages, in increments of 2.
Printing method
Giclée printing is a high-quality reproduction process that utilizes an inkjet printer to apply ink onto archival-grade paper. It is widely used by artists to produce original works and by museums to create precise reproductions. Our top-of-the-line professional inkjet printers allow us to fully maximize the image quality, while also enhancing the longevity of the photographs, ensuring they are preserved for decades to come.
Debossing
We provide three choices for Debossing: Standard Font, Text + Graphic, and Custom Debossing. Debossing is available in two finishes: Plain or Hot Foil, with foil options in gold, matte gold, rose gold, silver, and matte silver.

* We have found that simpler designs best highlight the artistic aesthetic of the Edge Series. We recommend limiting the number of photos per page, with one photo per page providing the best presentation. Please use white background only.
* Due to the unique binding method, when the album is opened, the left side is the inside of the cover and cannot be printed on, while the right side is the first printable page. Therefore, in the album design files, the left side of the first spread should be blank, with image on the right. Similarly, in the last spread, the left side should have image, while the right side remains blank.
